Akebono Japan is having the day off shift in a week applying to electricity supply - demand gap in this summer (From July 1 to September 30)

Due to the effects of the Great East Japan earthquake on March 11, there has been a significant reduction in the electricity supply capacities of Tokyo Electric Power Co. and Tohoku Electric Power Co. To cover the large supply-demand gap caused by this incident, the Government of Japan initiated the measure of imposing rolling blackouts as unavoidable emergency measures, and settled target of demand reduction rate of electricity from Monday to Friday by 15% at least than that of last summer. In order to apply the announcement of the Government of Japan, Automotive Industry has decided to shift the day off from Saturday and Sunday to Thursday and Friday with the sense of shifting the electricity demand peak in a week.

Akebono has decided the day off shift in a week from July 1, 2011 to September 30, 2011 as follows. We apologize for the inconvenient of our customers and business partners, however we would be appreciated to have understanding upon the situation.
