Akebono to Exhibit New Brake Solutions at Tokyo Motor Show 2015

Tokyo, Japan - (October 21, 2015) - Akebono Brake Industry will exhibit new brake solutions at the 44th Tokyo Motor Show, which will be held from October 30th to November 8th at Tokyo Big Sight.

The highlights of this year in Akebono booth are the world's first production 10-pot opposed aluminum monoblock brake caliper, and 6-pot opposed aluminum monoblock brake caliper for high performance vehicles. These new calipers provide reliable brake performance under high speed, high brake load and high heat conditions along with a comfortable, low noise brake experience for luxury high performance vehicles. To develop these new calipers, Akebono leveraged its extensive know-how in high performance brake technologies, gained from years of experience in motorsports. These brakes symbolize the full launch of the company's European business.

In addition, the McLaren P1TM, to which Akebono supplies brake systems, will be displayed at the booth.
