Akebono to exhibit brake solutions at Frankfurt Motor Show 2017

Tokyo, Japan - (September 5, 2017) - Akebono Brake Industry will exhibit new brake solutions at the 67th Frankfurt Motor Show (IAA 2017-67th International Automobile-Ausstellung), which will be held from September 14th to September 24th.

The highlights of this year in Akebono booth include newly developed 10-pot*1 opposed, 8-pot opposed and 4-pot opposed aluminum calipers, all for high performance vehicles. Akebono is now supplying 10-pot and 6-pot opposed calipers to European premium auto makers. The calipers which will be exhibited at the show are prototypes and have special specifications such as compact and light weight targeting high performance sports models. Adding these new products will enrich our product line and further reinforces our business in Europe. These high performance brakes adopt Akebono's state-of-the-art technologies which have been accumulated through various motorsports activities and provide superior performance at high speed, under severe load and high temperature, along with comfort which is required for premium vehicles.
