Concerning Recent Organizational Changes in Akebono Brake
Concerning recent organizational changes in Akebono Brake Industry Co., Ltd., kindly be informed as follows:
The organizational changes, which take effect January 1, 2015, have been made in response to the ongoing challenges of accelerated globalization, as well as to strengthen our overall operations worldwide in order to ensure our successful business.
In order to better align operations to globally coordinate each of the four main regions, members of senior management at our corporate head office in Japan have been assigned. It is hoped that this structure will allow for enhanced communications and coordination, as well as more fully optimized synergies, while also allowing us to benefit from deeper cooperation among facilities.
In detail, Executive Vice President Yoshimasa Ogino (Japan and North American operations), Senior Managing Executive Officer Yuji Ando (European operations), and Executive Officer Tomokazu Hamada (Asian operations) will coordinate the management of operations at the global level. The missions of the current regional CEOs will remain unchanged, as they assume full authority and responsibility for regional operations and management.
