Akebono Announces Impact of Flooding on Thai Operations

Akebono Brake Industry Co., Ltd., announced the latest information on the impact of flooding on its consolidated subsidiary in Chonburi Province, Thailand.

1. Damage status
There have been no injuries to personnel and plant and facilities have experienced no damage as a result of flooding.
2. Impact on operations
Operations have been temporarily suspended as of October 12 following shutdowns at automotive OEM customers. A date for the resumption of operations has not yet been determined.
3. Impact on business performance
Investigation is now being conducted. If impact on performance is expected to be significant, relevant information will be disclosed immediately.

In support of people in the afflicted areas, Akebono has decided to donate 10 million yen towards relief and recovery efforts.

Akebono expresses its deepest sympathy to everyone affected by this disaster, and prays for the swiftest possible recovery.
