About Supplier Whistleblower Hotline
Our aim is to build strong partnerships on the basis of mutual trust and coexistence between Suppliers and Akebono by increasing the transparency and fairness of transactions and ensuring compliance.
We believe that the key to build and sustain amicable relationship with Suppliers is to eliminate violations of laws or regulations (e.g. Act against Delay in Payment of Subcontract Proceeds, Etc. to Subcontractors (the so-called Subcontract Law) and deter socially inappropriate acts.
Hence, we created Supplier Whistleblower Hotline to facilitate reporting of any improper conduct arising in relation to Akebono Purchasing activities. This channel is to be used as a consultation service, in the event of apparent violation or improper conduct causing inconvenience to Suppliers.
All reports received from Suppliers will receive a fair and comprehensive investigation in terms of corporate social responsibility, and necessary actions will be taken to enable prevention of problem from occurring, early detection, fast resolution, and prevention of problem from recurrence.

In relation to the foregoing, should you encounter any problem due to an actual or suspected violation or unethical conduct, or feel that you have been treated unfairly, please contact us.
Compliance Committee will verify the contents, conduct thorough investigation and take necessary measures for prevention of problem from occurring, early detection, fast resolution, and prevention of problem from recurrence.
Please be advised that in the course of investigation we may ask for your cooperation to confirm the details of reported concern.
Akebono assures that the reporting would have no adverse effect on those who have used this Supplier Whistleblower Hotline or on the supplier where s/he works.
However, the above would not apply to reports that deliberately contain offensive or defamatory, statement, or include personal attacks.
Moreover, the information hereby provided will not be disclosed to the company where s/he works without prior consent .
