Vodafone McLaren Mercedes F1 Team, Supplied with Akebono Brake Systems, Achieves 1st and 3rd Victories at Australian Grand Prix
Jenson Button of the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes F1 team, to which Akebono officially supplies the brake systems, opened the Formula One 2012 season by winning at Albert Park, Melbourne, Australia on March 18, 2012. His 13th victory brought the 176th championship to the team, and his 7th fastest lap time. The other team driver, Lewis Hamilton, also put in a superb performance, finishing in the 3rd position.
