Third round of 2015 MFJ All Japan Road Race Championship Series: Rider Takumi Takahashi takes second on the MuSASHi RT HARC-Pro, supplied with Akebono brake system
Tokyo, Japan - (June 3, 2015) - The MuSASHi RT HARC-Pro (rider: Takumi Takahashi), for which Akebono supplies brake systems, took second place in the JSB1000 class race in the third round of the 2015 MFJ All Japan Road Race Championship Series on May 31 at the Twin Ring Motegi race track in Tochigi Prefecture, Japan.
Starting in the seventh position, Takahashi moved into second place by the first corner. For the race, his average lap time was around 1' 49". During the race, the third place rider closed to within one second, but Takahashi made a strong finish to place second.
Takayuki Mukasa, in charge of on-site support for the team, and a Staff Engineer of Akebono Advanced Engineering Co., Ltd.* said, "we are proud that our brake system contributed to the team's second place finish, providing reliable performance under harsh 31 degrees celsius temperatures at the circuit. The fourth round of the 2015 MFJ All Japan Road Race Championship Series is going to be held at the SUGO Circuit in Miyagi prefecture, Japan on Sunday, June 28.
