Akebono Brake Industry to Relocate Global Head Office
Tokyo, Japan - Akebono Brake Industry Co., Ltd. has decided to relocate its Global Head Office to a new location in conjunction with the undergrounding project of the Nihonbashi section of the Tokyo Metropolitan Expressway.
The Global Head Office in Nihonbashi will be relocated to new premises on Tuesday, November 5, as the building currently occupied by the Company will be demolished in accordance with plans to put a 1.8 km section of the Metropolitan Expressway in Nihonbashi underground. The new office will be approximately one quarter the size of the current one, representing a significant cost reduction. Taking advantage of the reduced floor space, we will also promote diversification of working styles by strengthening telecommuting functions while further advancing SQDCE activities* in our indirect divisions.
* Activities to improve "S: Safety," "Q: Quality," "D: Delivery," "C: Cost," and "E: Environment" as key areas.
